Context

The number of Independent Workers continues to grow x3 faster vs W2 workers since 2020, with people favoring work schedules built around their lifestyle. Given the speed of this growth, a gap in tools and features quickly presented itself as an opportunity.

Mymo entered the marketplace in late 2022, with a series of novel features, automating income tracking for Independent Workers.

My role

Head of Design, leading all aspects, through from the 0-1 stage, to present day– with a 4.9 star rating in the App Store.

Blending hands-on product design, generative research, and team leadership.

Supporting various Goal intents, provides a broader top-of-funnel experience and allows users to track discretionary, needs-based and income goals all together. Combining with income, this positively effects the motivation to attain the goal.

Enabling users to focus on hitting the goals that matter, requires deep thematic feature sets, across the product. To solve for taxes, we introduced multiple features; instant tax estimations, a tax break finder, an AI Assistant trained on State and Federal tax regulations, and tax summaries for each income.
